Good gad, how time flies!

2011!

DS-almost 11 has finished his Grade 6 workbook, loves making maps of his computer games and playing spoiler-man for most of the movies and anime series that he watches.  He still loves to read, still loves his pets (cats and chicken), still loves the color red, and still loves making kulit his brothers :).  Still blogging abobut life and about his cats and hid artistic creations.  He is also into aikido during summers (but I'd like him to get into the sport starting next week, actually, so that he will become more proficient at it.)  He wants to work towards registering into a computer game using a money card (mine, but the money should be from their savings), and to get a Windows-based terminal so that he can make his own models.  He is now "concentrating" on his Qur'an and his blogging, so we should hear more about this in his blogs.

DS9 is growing strong!  After a three-hour spasm marathon in October of 2009 (gruelling for an ina!), he has regained use of most of his right side (but not completely his right hand, so he uses the mouse and eats with his left), is still a bit unsteady while walking and so needs someone to hold onto, but has become quite the adventurer when we are outdoors.  He loves escalators and accroutements (watches, badges), long sleeved shirts (oh, well, all of them do!), and Ronald McDonald in Japanese McDo adverts :)  I still have little idea how to teach him anything, but he does teach himself a lot of things, so I'm not too worried.  We do need to talk to him some more so that he will reciprocate (more or less),

DS7 is in Grade 3 (a tad young, dont you think?) and doing arabic. and loves loves play acting!  He is an avid reader and reads aloud for the benefit of everyone in  a three-meter radius, plays left for dead without sound but makes enough noise to compensate.  He is a good math student, an expressive sentence-writer, but hates finding the "Main Idea" in his workbooks.  He memorizes dialogues, makes simple Lego mockups.  He plays internet games and Lego Star Wars, which he cried hell and high water to get installed in their computer.  He loves his tiger family, and would probably love to dress up as a tiger, although his favorite color is green.

DS6 is everybody's friend, and is most specially close to his Lola, whom he calls his best friend.  He also has a toy teddy bear, formerly Baby Bear, but is now Kuya Bear to the little Baby Pandie, a tiny panda stuffed toy he has appropriated for himself.  Why?  Because he is now Kuya to two -- yes, two -- lovely baby girl cousins.  He loves playing Lego, writing and making rhebus (hm?) puzzles, and plays tha big bad boys games.  He's in Grade 2, workbook-wise.  And he still doesnt want to do his arabic, but already knows his letters.

They're all very interesting young persons, and I'm glad we have started and are keeping up with the homeschooling adventure with all of them.
